About The Artist

   Rick Karas is a composer, pianist/guitarist, and music therapist.  A published songwriter in gospel and pop, Rick has now written and produced an instrumental collection featuring his signature piano style.

   A graduate of California State University, Northridge, with a degree in music and music therapy, Rick has been employed by various mental health agencies where he has utillized music therapy in treating schizophrenia and other mental and physical disorders.

   Rick has extensive recording and performance experience working with various artists such as The Platters (50's),  Billy Ray Cyrus (Country &Pop), Syreeta Wright (R&B),  Swiftkick (Rock),  Ambiance (Jazz),  Barbara Morrison (Blues),  and The Patterson Twins (Gospel),  to name a few.

   Rick has performed as a solo artist giving concerts in clubs, hotels, cafes and colleges in the Midwest, California and now in the South.  Rick is currently recording new material for his next CD project.  Check his website for release information and future performance dates.
